Good Ol' Daysby ~VegaColors

Digital Art / Drawings / Fantasy

So fun to try a new approach/style. Just used different brushes, messed with the opacity and stuff. Very enjoyable to draw.

With every picture I create, I also love to imagine the world and events behind them (though I never really write em out). Very basic overview: A lab, an assistant, Ebon, and an inventor who is unseen here. Technology, magic; an ongoing study of the overlap between the two. The climax, perhaps a discovery but the results are unknown. The device/contraption the assistant stands is misshapened and warped but cackles with energy. *ok, this is going to end up longer than anticipated, so that's all I'm writing for now on this pic. This might become a series of concept pictures and scenes. Who knows...

Man, am I envious. You can create fantastic masterpieces just by using a combination of strokes of lines, and have it come together amazingly well so the composition actually looks like something epic. I on the other hand...bleh, haha.

Love the color scheme in this one and how the lines vary in thickness and opacity--it definitely works as an appealing eye-candy approach. Plus the perspective brings a lot to the table as far as drawing the viewer's eye in goes.
